What’s the best advice you ever got?
When I was in the submarine force, I asked my captain, “How do you know everything?” He replied, “I don’t know everything, I just know how to ask the right questions.” That stuck with me and has been helpful advice as my career has progressed to encompass greater responsibilities.

What’s your favorite movie, all time and in any category?
I can’t say I have a favorite movie, but a series I truly enjoyed was “Ted Lasso” because it showcases kindness, integrity and all that is good, which provides a nice departure from some of the realities of current times.

What’s at the top of your bucket list?
I want to expand my vegetable garden and try to grow most all that we eat.

What’s the best thing about living in Los Angeles?
I live in the same neighborhood that I grew up in from age 5 to 23, which means I have a lot of family and friends still in the area.
