LA500 2024: Lori Morgan

Chief Executive, President Huntington Hospital

Morgan became president and chief executive of the 619-bed Huntington Hospital in Pasadena in 2017. Four years later, the hospital, which had been independent since its founding in 1892, affiliated with Beverly Grove-based Cedars-Sinai Health System. In December, Huntington Hospital earned Comprehensive Stroke Center certification, given to hospitals that can treat the most complex stroke cases. In March, Morgan was recognized in Becker’s Hospital Review’s 2024 “Women hospital presidents and CEOs to know” list; she was honored for creating programs that best support patient care, fostering relationships with physicians and improving financial performance. Prior to assuming her posts at Huntington Hospital, Morgan served as corporate vice president of Legacy Health, the largest local health system in Portland, Oregon, and as president of Legacy Emanuel Medical Center, the system’s largest hospital.
