President Adventist Health White Memorial
Raffoul was named president of Adventist Health White Memorial in 2015; he oversees the 353-bed teaching hospital in Boyle Heights. The facility has earned multiple distinguished awards and accolades, including Healthgrades’ 100 Best Hospitals. Raffoul joined White Memorial in 1984 as an accountant, rising through the ranks to serve as chief financial officer and chief operating officer. During his tenure, Raffoul helped oversee construction of the medical center’s $250 million replacement hospital to comply with seismic retrofit laws. In September, Adventist Health White Memorial acquired out of bankruptcy Beverly Hospital in Montebello and immediately began restoring some of the services that had been cut during the bankruptcy.
