Co-Founder, Lead Pharmacist Honeybee Health
Nouhavandi is the co-founder and lead pharmacist of Culver City-based Honeybee Health, an accredited online pharmacy that from 2020 through 2022 was the fastest-growing private company in Los Angeles County, according to the Business Journal’s List. The online pharmacy, which was founded in 2017, has in recent years become one of the nation’s largest providers of online mail order medication abortion pills. Nouhavandi, as the public face of Honeybee Health, has emerged as a significant public figure in the effort to ensure access to abortion. She has been named as one of Time Magazine’s “100 Next,” and Honeybee was named to its 100 most influential companies list last year.
What’s the best advice you ever got?
Trust the timing of your life. The only reason people feel rushed or “behind” in life is when they are comparing their life to where they felt they should have been by now or where they see others are. You are exactly where you’re supposed to be.
What’s your favorite movie, all time and in any category?
There are so many it’s hard to choose. Romance is my favorite category. “Dirty Dancing” is 100% on my favorites list.
What’s at the top of your bucket list?
I would love to “pay back” and do nice things for the people that helped support me in life.
What’s the best thing about living in Los Angeles?
Hands down the great weather and diversity of food options.
