President, ArtCenter College of Design
Hofmann is the sixth president of ArtCenter College of Design, and the first woman in the role. She previously was ArtCenter Provost and served as chair of ArtCenter’s Product Design department. She began teaching at the college in 2002. She was given the Industrial Designers Society of America Education Award for her contributions to the field of industrial design education. Hofmann spent several years at Johnson Controls Automotive Systems Group in Advanced Design and Research and, for the last decade, has been teaching and consulting. She graduated from ArtCenter in 1997 with a B.S. in product design and has a B.A. in psychology from California State University – Northridge.

What’s at the top of your bucket list? A one-year cross-country road trip.
What was your first car? My parents 1969 Chevy Kingswood 9-passenger station wagon.
Like to have it back? Yes, I’d love to have it back.
What’s the best thing about living in Los Angeles? The never-ending discoveries across hundreds of neighborhoods and communities.
