Blake facilitates economic development in the San Fernando Valley. She previously served as the chief executive of the Los Angeles National Association of Women Business Owners, the assistant dean of the USC Roski School of Fine Arts and the director of corporate giving at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. She was appointed director of community business in former Mayor Garcetti’s Office of Economic Development.
What’s the best advice you ever got? If you want people to invest in your dreams, you must first invest in theirs.
What’s your favorite movie, all time and in any category? “Lord of the Rings.” What was your first car? A Ford Fiesta, I think?
Would you like to have it back? No thanks, but I’d like the Audi convertible I had before the minivan.
What’s the best thing about living in Los Angeles? The food, the beach, the innovation. If I had to pick one, I’d say the beautiful Santa Susana Mountains where I live in Porter Ranch. They’re my mountains that welcome me home.
