Chief Executive, Southern California Gas Co.
Drury serves as chief executive of Southern California Gas Co., which is one of the largest natural gas distribution companies in the nation. It is based in downtown Los Angeles. The Southern California Gas Co. announced a $10 million fund last year to provide income-qualified customers with one-time grants to help pay their bills and increase community resources for those struggling. In 2021, SoCalGas announced a plan to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2045, which includes plans to invest $50 million in diverse and underserved communities as well as the goal of delivering 20% renewable gas to its customers by 2030. Before becoming the chief executive of SoCalGas in 2020, Drury was the president of San Diego Gas & Electric for eight years. He serves on the boards of the American Gas Association and the Fowler College of Business at San Diego State University, as well as the community advisory council of Alzheimer’s San Diego.
