Davenport is responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the nation’s largest local government, including oversight of a $46 billion-plus budget. Her responsibilities include carrying out program efforts related to addressing homelessness, expanding mental health services, reforming probation and growing job opportunities. She is also a licensed attorney. In 2022, Davenport managed the launch of four county departments focused on community needs, including the Justice, Care and Opportunities Department, the Aging & Disabilities Department, the Department of Economic Development and the Department of Youth Development.

What’s your favorite movie, all time and in any category? “Gladiator,” of course!
What’s at the top of your bucket list? A private tour of the pyramids of Egypt led by Zahi Abass Hawass – an Egyptian archaeologist, Egyptologist and former minister of state for Antiquities Affairs.
What was your first car? 1986 Hyundai Sonata.
