Leech leads Western Asset’s global portfolios, U.S. broad portfolios and macro-opportunities teams. The Pasadena-based firm specializes in fixed-income investing, with $385 billion in assets under management. Leech joined the firm in 1990, and from 1991 to 2021 the investment management firm’s assets grew from $5 billion to $408 billion. Prior to joining Western Asset Leech was a portfolio manager with Greenwich Capital Markets, the First Boston Corp. and the National Bank of Detroit. Western Asset is a subsidiary of Franklin Templeton Investments, a San Mateo-based holding company.
