Co-Managing Partner, Monarch Collective
Nortman has spearheaded local investment in women’s sports as the co-founder of Angel City FC and as a managing director at the Monarch Collective. Last year the venture capital firm boosted its initial fund to $150 million in capital commitments, including notable investors like tennis legend Billie Jean King and Heisman quarterback Caleb Williams. Nortman, alongside her co-managing partner Jasmine Robinson, invests in women’s teams, leagues and adjacent revenue streams. Prior to the Monarch Collective Nortman was a partner at Upfront Ventures, one of the largest venture capital firms in Los Angeles. Before joining Upfornt, she worked for seven years at IAC as the head of its merger and acquisition group. She served on the board of IAC’s mobile tech incubator, which incubated Tinder in its seed round. Nortman earned a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and an MBA from Stanford.
