Danhankl joined Leonard Green & Partners, a $75 billion private equity firm based in Westwood, in 1995. The firm’s portfolio consists of brands like Zaxby’s, 1-800 Contacts and JOANN Fabrics and Williams-Sonoma. This year, Leonard Green provided capital for Home Depot’s $18.3 billion acquisition of the building materials supplier SRS Distribution. In December, the firm partnered with the Carlyle subsidiary AlpInvest to close a $2 billion continuation fund, which will provide investors of Leonard Green’s funds by acquiring four portfolio companies. Prior to joining the firm, Danhankl served as the lead investment banker at the Los Angeles office of Lufkin & Jenrette Inc. Danhankl also led co-investments between the two firms. He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from UC Berkeley and M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
