Manlunas founded the early-stage venture capital firm Wavemaker Partners in 2003, operating with dual headquarters in Los Angeles and Singapore. He began his career in consulting at Arthur Andersen, then went on to found two companies that were both acquired. Today Wavemaker Partners has more than $800 million in capital. Manlunas himself has made over 150 investments throughout his career, including three companies that reached $1 billion valuations. Last year, Wavemaker’s climate tech venture fund closed $60 million in capital commitments, marking the first fund of its kind out of Southeast Asia. Manlunas earned an MBA from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor’s degree from Florida International University.
