Ng leads East West Bank, the second largest bank based in Los Angeles. Last year, Ng was appointed the chair of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Business Advisory Council, which represents the private sector of the organization advising heads of state and governments. Since becoming East West Bank’s chief executive in 1992, Ng grew the bank from $600 million in assets to over $70 billion today. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and serves on the boards of Mattel, the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures and the University of Southern California. He served on boards for the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco Los Angeles Branch; PacifiCare Health Systems; and the United Way of Greater Los Angeles. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston, and in 2018 the school dedicated the Dominic & Ellen Ng Academic Center for Excellence to him and his wife.
