Lee has been leading Hanmi Bank since 2019, when she became the firm’s first feamle chief executive in its 42-year history. Hanmi was the first Korean American Bank, founded in Los Angeles in 1982 and now serving customers across nine states. Before joining Hanmi, Lee held a number of positions at BBCN Bank and BBCN Bancorp. Last year, American Banker named Lee one of the Most Powerful Women in Banking to Watch.
