Moore leads the investment banking arm of B. Riley Financial Inc. He resumed the role of chief executive in 2018 after a seven-year stint as the company’s president. Prior to B. Riley Moore worked in institutional equity sales at ROTH Capital Partners as well as sales at Bear Stearns & Co. The investment bank’s parent company B. Riley Financial has been embroiled in controversy as of late after failing to file an audited quarterly report due to reviews of its transaction with Brian Kahn, a co-conspirator in a securities fraud. Last November the executive’s broker sold about $1.3 million worth of shares as the company’s stock hit a three-year low amid a large quarterly loss.
