DTLA’s Central City Association Adds Board Members

The Central City Association, downtown’s main business group, announced on March 27 the addition of six members to its board of directors.

According to the association’s board chair, developer Tom Gilmore, chief executive of Gilmore Associates, the board expansion to a total of 20 brings a greater diversity of voices to the organization.

The new board members are:

  • Suzanne Boda, senior vice president for the Los Angeles market of Fort Worth, Texas-based American Airlines Inc.;
  • Sean Burton, chief executive of CityView, a Westwood-based real estate investment group;
  • Stephanie Graves, chief executive of Lee Andrews Group, a downtown public affairs company;
  • Lewis Horne, president of the Southern California and Hawaii division of CBRE Group Inc., a downtown commercial real estate services company;
  • Kevin Murray, chief executive of the Weingart Center, a downtown nonprofit that addresses poverty and homelessness; and
  • Cindy Starrett, partner with downtown law firm Latham & Watkins.

The Central City Association was founded in 1924; its mission is to make downtown a more dynamic neighborhood and to increase investment in both downtown and the Los Angeles region as a whole.
