Johnese Spisso is a nationally recognized academic health care leader with more than 40 years of experience across clinical, operational and executive roles. In 2016, she was recruited to serve as president of UCLA Health, CEO of the UCLA Hospital System, and associate vice chancellor of UCLA Health Sciences.

As president and CEO, Spisso leads the UCLA Health system, which includes UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center, UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital, Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA, UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center, UCLA West Valley Medical Center, and a network of more than 280 primary and specialty care clinics throughout Southern California. Her oversight also extends to the UCLA Health Homeless Healthcare Collaborative and the UCLA Faculty Practice Group. She is responsible for all aspects of health system operations and regional outreach at the local, state, national and international levels.
