Kelly Johnson, PhD, RN, NEABC, joined Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in 2023 as senior vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer (CNO). Dr. Johnson oversees and provides strategic direction, planning and leadership for disciplines of nursing, advanced practice professionals, patient- and family-centered care, rehabilitation services, patient and family experience, psychology, patient care services education and research, social work, and care coordination.
Dr. Johnson has more than 40 years of nursing and nurse leadership experience, including holding CNO roles at Children’s Hospital Colorado, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, and University of California Benioff Children’s Hospitals in Oakland and San Francisco.
