Yasmeen Barakat, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, NCARB, is a licensed architect in California and a medical planner with Perkins&Will’s Los Angeles studio. Joining Perkins&Will in 2022 as a medical planner, she’s already making a mark, having demonstrated her ability to handle a range of projects with various clients simultaneously as well as roles, whether as a medical planner, interior designer, or project architect with technical knowledge. She’s collaborated with both national and international clients on schematic design, design development and construction administration of healthcare facilities. Barakat understands how to work with and implement a client’s facility standards, while bringing new and creative solutions to a project.
Since moving to the US six years ago, Barakat has dedicated her career to healthcare planning and design. Her exceptional contributions to the field of healthcare design and her commitment to creating patient-centered, healing environments.
