Nicole Anderson Leonard, JD, MBA, had always dreamed of helping people as a doctor, but that dream took a transformative pivot and today, Leonard is helping reshape healthcare and healthcare delivery through her work as an executive leader in academic medicine. As vice president and vice dean of Academic Affairs at Cedars-Sinai, Leonard oversees a $500 million portfolio and multiple teams, including the Office of Research Administration, the Department of Comparative Medicine, Research Facilities and the Office of Research Compliance & Quality Improvement.
Leonard’s broad professional background— spanning the entire research spectrum—coupled with the dynamic environment that is Cedars-Sinai, gives her a 30,000-foot view of healthcare that allows her to inform strategy and direction, as well as execute on it, so that the team’s work has the greatest impact with the least amount of disruption.
