JOI TORRENCE-HILL
Chief of Operations
USC Norris Cancer Hospital

In her three years at the USC Norris Cancer Hospital, Joi Torrence-Hill has overseen many advancements and innovations. Under her leadership, the hospital has continued to be ranked among the top cancer centers in the nation and been named a ‘Top Teaching Hospital’ nationally by The Leapfrog Group, recognizing the organization’s quality and patient safety for the third year in a row. The hospital has also expanded access to CAR-T cell therapy, a newer class of treatment for cancer patients; and grown its bone marrow transplant program exponentially.

Torrence-Hill and her team implemented a pathway to safely treat COVID-19-positive patients in a hospital with significantly immune-compromised patients. She also launched a multidisciplinary patient-facing oncology care model pilot that optimizes patient speed to access and journey through cancer services across the hospital and many disciplines.
