JINHEE NGUYEN
Patient Care Executive
Adventist Health Glendale

As the patient care executive at Adventist Health Glendale, Jinhee Nguyen emphasizes the triple “Es” – employee engagement, physician engagement and patient engagement. Nguyen provides nursing leadership for approximately 900 registered nurses at the 515-bed hospital – the flagship of Adventist Health’s 26-hospital system.

Nguyen strives to cultivate an environment where the healthcare workforce can thrive and perform at their best to deliver outstanding care to every patient, every time. Under her leadership, Adventist Health Glendale has earned the Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award six years in a row (2019-2024). In 2020, Nguyen and her nurse leaders embarked on a journey to achieve Magnet designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center – an extensive process that typically takes four to six years. This program recognizes excellence in nursing and patient care as well as innovation in professional nursing practice. Under Nguyen’s direction, Magnet designation was achieved last year, in just three years.
