Carina Mills is a leader inside and out of the office and serves as senior associate and senior talent director for RDC-S111. Her pivot to talent director in 2019 meant creating a role to lead the career development of architects and designers at all phases of their career, from entry-level to senior management. Her influence at the firm has increased the quality of applicants in recruiting, improved retention rates of staff, and increased career satisfaction and acceleration for staff members.
Mills reignited the firm’s associate program, leading an annual leadership training retreat, as well as periodic salons and learning experiences. In 2025, she is serving as the elected role of president of the American Association of Architects (AIA) California chapter.
