Since Marie Maurice was admitted to the California State Bar in December of 2008, she has been committed to being an active member of her community, a mentor to all and an advocate for her clients, peers, and youth. Individual accolades have never interested Maurice; she is more concerned with the legacy she leaves behind and those she has mentored and helped to get to where they are today.
Maurice leads by example, not by accolades or recognition. She has been planned and executed multiple conferences with the focus of uniting Black attorneys across California to expand their network and offer guidance and encouragement in their careers. She even served as scholarship chair for the National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms from 2021-2024.
