Rhonda Trotter is a first-chair trial lawyer who represents businesses in commercial disputes, including complex commercial, intellectual property, entertainment, products liability, employment, business torts, breach of contract, and false advertising.
In 2023, Trotter defended Visa in a consumer fraud class action brought in the Northern District of California. She succeeded in having all claims dismissed without leave to amend. In 2020, Trotter and her team secured a preliminary and permanent injunction on behalf of Nike in a Los Angeles federal court trademark and trade dress infringement lawsuit against a counterfeiter of Nike’s infamous “Dunk” sneakers. She gained significant recognition in 2014 for helping legendary artist Prince secure copyright ownership of his master recordings from Warner Music.
