Lisa Callif, founding partner of Donaldson Callif Perez, has been the go-to lawyer for independent production companies for close to a decade, specializing in all aspects of business and legal affairs for non-fiction and scripted production companies. Additionally, Callif has spent the last year working on an increased number of scripted projects rendering financing, production, distribution and clearance services. In the clearance space, Callif vets scripts to ensure that projects based on true stories don’t violate or infringe upon the personal rights of anyone depicted in the projects.
