One ongoing case of Bagdanov’s involves a fraudulent criminal enterprise and the overnight shutdown of a company that filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. The debtor in the case is a telecom factoring company that filed for Chapter 7 after losing over $200 million of investor money in what appears to have been a factoring fraud scheme. Bagdanov and her team have successfully recovered $3 million from one set of defendants via settlement, and have settled with the government of the Netherlands for approximately $10 million.
