A key employment partner within McDermott’s Los Angeles office, Yesenia Gallegos focuses her practice on a wide range of matters, including wage and hour law, discrimination and harassment claims, executive employment agreements, leaves of absence, and reductions in force. She represents employers in employment litigation—including class actions—pending in both state and federal court, California representative actions under the state’s Private Attorneys’ General Act (PAGA) and also represents employers in actions against former employees in trade secret and embezzlement actions that require immediate restraining orders, injunctions and/or liens.
In 2023, Gallegos led an all-woman attorney team to a decisive victory for Dart by successfully opposing the plaintiff’s motion for class certification.
