Cortney Shegerian started a women owned law firm with business partner Heather Conniff in 2018. Shegarian Conniff currently has four employees and has handled hundreds of cases, including highly publicized sexual assault/harassment cases such as Doe v. City of Bakersfield.
Throughout her career as an attorney, Shegerian has argued in front of the California Supreme Court as well as the Court of Appeal and has secured settlements and judgments in excess of $150 million for her clients, including an $8.3 million verdict for a fatal bus crash suit along with a $352,083 verdict for a wrongfully terminated employee. Shegerian has served as a speaker and panelist in the area of employment law for the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, the Beverly Hills Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
