Sandra Burns is a partner in EY’s Real Estate, Hospitality and Construction assurance practice and has 24 years of experience providing audit and accounting services to a wide range of companies in the real estate, private equity and leasing industries. Burns is a trusted business advisor to clients with numerous capital transactions, including initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, securitizations, secondary equity and debt offerings, as well as routine SEC filings and reporting. Burns has also led Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 internal control implementations for newly formed public companies.
As an audit partner for 11 years, Burns has led audits of public and private companies in various industries. Burns was a resident in EY’s West Region Professional Practice Group, serving as a firm-wide and area resource on technical accounting and auditing matters, focusing on the areas of impairment, financial instruments and fair value accounting.
