Omri Avdi, Grant Thornton’s chief sales officer (CSO), has been named a principal with the firm he has served for more than 10 years. Avdi will continue serving as the firm’s CSO, leading Grant Thornton’s national business development team and connecting clients with audit and assurance, tax and advisory professionals across the country. In this role, Avdi recruits, trains and empowers the firm’s sales team, using his decades of business experience to fuel growth for Grant Thornton. His promotion to principal is a recognition of his success as CSO: a role he assumed just over a year ago. Avdi previously served as a managing director and sales leader for the firm’s Central and West regions. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Colorado State University and a MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
