Kevin Conway provides design leadership and develops cohesive solutions for each project that integrate client needs, municipal requirements, site context and contemporary thought leadership. Kevin has worked on significant projects throughout LA, including 1 Hotel West Hollywood, 8500 Sunset Boulevard, the adaptive reuse and renovation of the Desmond Building. Currently, Kevin is providing design leadership and entitlement support for 1111 Sunset Boulevard, and approaching completion on La Jolla Commons Phase III–a new 11-story commercial office building and amenity pavilions in La Jolla, California. In Texas, Kevin is leading the design of Verde Square–a one million square foot new mixed
use district adjacent to the MLS stadium in Austin, and 2500 Cedar Springs–a residential and commercial development in Dallas.

Carlos Madrid III works at many scales simultaneously – he designs buildings, interiors and products. Carlos recently completed MGAC’s Los Angeles office, a 150,000 square foot office for The Trade Desk in New York City and two marquee projects at Loyola Marymount University: the School of Film & Television and Drollinger Stage. Currently he is working on a tech office headquarters In Mexico City; phase three of an urban lighting and furniture collection with Neri, an Italian lighting manufacturer; and is leading the design of the next generation of transit shelters in partnership with LA’s Sidewalk and Transit Amenities Program (STAP).

Tannar Whitney is a project manager who guides clients from concept through project delivery, ensuring the design intent carries through to completion. Tannar has worked across geography and scale with a focus on higher education, LSMU, tenant improvements and adaptive reuse projects. His portfolio includes Wells Fargo Center in Downtown LA, Pen Factory in Santa Monica and two recently completed projects on Loyola Marymount University’s campus: the School of Film & Television and Drollinger Stage. Current work includes: One Centennial Yards, a flagship tower in downtown Atlanta and Tannar is leading SOM’s project team for the design of LA’s Sidewalk and Transit Amenities Program (STAP), the next generation of state-of-the-art transit shelters.

Tahmores “Tommy” Zandi, with over two decades of experience in the field, has honed his expertise as a technical architect dedicated to decarbonizing the built environment. In SOM’s LA Studio, Tommy is a champion for the firm’s various sustainability initiatives, including the AIA 2030 Commitment –an industry-wide action plan to reach carbon neutrality by 2030. On each project, he seeks to make it the most environmentally responsible version of itself. Tommy’s recently completed projects include the new LAX Airport Police Facility and University of California Santa Barbara San Joaquin Apartments, both projects in which passive strategies improved building performance. Currently, amongst other assignments he is leading the technical design for a major film studio on Toronto’s waterfront.
