HGA welcomes Fielding Featherston, AIA, LEED AP, as Principal and Practice Group Leader in LA’s Workplace Studio to expand its client base and strengthen HGA’s presence in the region. He brings more than 20 years of design leadership experience, from running his own office to serving as Principal Architect and Studio Director of established architecture firms.
Featherston’s portfolio includes mixed-use commercial properties, workplaces, adaptive reuse projects, affordable housing, medical office buildings and sacred spaces—projects centered on research, design innovation and community values.
“I have an enthusiasm for cultivating a strong studio culture in support of design excellence and successful business for us and our clients,” Featherston said. “Southern California presents unique opportunities to push design in the areas of workplace and the public sector in service of our clients’ desire to create quality experiences. I am energized to collaborate with a great team of industry-leading talent to pursue this work and the growth of our studio.”
Throughout his career, Featherston has collaborated with designers, clients, contractors, fabricators and artists to create design-forward, community-focused architecture. Some of his previous clients have included Michelin North America, Tupperware Brands Corporation, Dream Hotel Group and the Walt Disney World Company in addition to numerous private development groups.
Featherston is an award-winning architect who has been recognized by leading national organizations, including receiving the AIA Award of Excellence for Design. His work has also been published in national design magazines over the years.
