NONPROFIT LEADERSHIP: Sonnenberg

Sonnenberg

GLENN A. SONNENBERG IS APPOINTED CHAIR OF WAYFINDER FAMILY SERVICES’ BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Glenn A. Sonnenberg is a longtime real estate investment executive and community leader. He has served on the board of Wayfinder Family Services since 2018, a period of remarkable growth for the organization. Wayfinder Family Services is a human services organization based in Los Angeles. Its statewide programs serve those with disabilities, including vision impairment and developmental disabilities; children in the foster care system and their families; and kinship and adoptive families. Last year, Wayfinder served nearly 22,000 children, youth adults and family members across California.

On Wayfinder’s 70th anniversary, what are some of your thoughts about the organization’s future? “Wayfinder has served communities of people in need for over 70 years. It is financially healthy and an effective innovator and efficient deliverer of meaningful programs that help achieve life-changing outcomes for children and families, year after year. As the new chair of the board, I couldn’t be more excited to work with our phenomenal staff, led by Jay Allen, in making the organization even stronger, expanding its reach to help more people with more innovative programming. I believe we have the programs, the team, the board and the community support to do just that.”
