EASTERSEALS WELCOMES NEW BOARD MEMBERS DOUGLAS CHANG, LYNELL DAVIS, KARLA PITA LOOR AND ARTHUR SOUTHAM

Easterseals Southern California, the largest provider of disability services and leader in the effort for full equity, inclusion and access for people with disabilities, welcomes Doug Chang, Lynell Davis, Karla Pita Loor and Arthur Southam to its board of directors.

Douglas Chang is Front Store Division Vice President of the West, which covers 12 states, for CVS Pharmacy. Throughout his 19-year career with CVS, Chang has a rich history of delivering best-in class results, being at the forefront of change, and leading in a way that is transparent, caring, and genuine. He intertwines his consumer and colleague obsession to strive to create the best environment and experience for both. Chang started his career in 2004 as a pharmacist and has carried numerous roles since.


Davis

Lynell D. Davis is the Associate General Counsel for the California Endowment. An experienced attorney, Davis specializes in health law and bioethics, having represented physicians, health care facilities and health systems. She has a B.S. in Biology & Society from Cornell University, a J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles and has been a member of the California Bar for over a decade. Davis later completed her M.A. in Bioethics at Loyola Marymount University, and most recently an MBA through her alma mater Cornell University’s EMBA America’s program. Davis is focused on making meaningful systemic change that results in increased health outcomes and well-being of ignored and under resourced communities.


Pita Loor

Karla Pita Loor is the Executive Vice President, Enterprise Inclusion & Social Responsibility for Banijay Americas. Pita Loor works across divisions to ensure that the content, creative talent, and workforce across Banijay America’s ten subsidiary studios represent the company’s commitment to inclusion and social responsibility. She oversees policies and initiatives to enhance an inclusive and equitable culture and talent development practices and collaborates closely with external partners to advance cultural and racial equity across the entertainment industry. She also co-chairs Banijay’s global diversity oversight committee, BELONG. Pita Loor previously served as the Television Academy’s Chief Development Officer.


Southam, M.D.

Arthur M. Southam, M.D., retired, was the Executive Vice President of Health Plan Operations and Chief Growth Officer for Kaiser Permanente, America’s largest not-for-profit integrated health system. For over 20 years Dr. Southam led Kaiser Permanente’s national health plan strategy, marketing, sales, service, business development and administration activities with focus on growth, customer service and industry leading member satisfaction. Prior to Kaiser Permanente, Dr. Southam was chief executive officer of Health Net, CareAmerica Health Plans and Health System Design. He served as board chair of CHRISTUS Health and the California Association of Health Plans. Dr. Southam received his medical degree and master’s degree in public health from UCLA, and his MBA from Pepperdine University. He received his B.A. in neuroscience from Amherst College.
