TGR FOUNDATION EXPANDS EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP, WELCOMES HRAG HAMALIAN
Hrag Hamalian joins TGR Foundation’s executive team as President of TGR Learning Labs and National Programs. Hamalian oversees all education programs impacting students from under-resourced communities across the country.
Founded in 1996 by Tiger Woods, TGR Foundation provides opportunities for students to follow their passions and prepare for their futures. Hamalian leads an experienced team of educators who provide college access and success, career readiness and educator professional development programs nationwide along with STEM-based programming through state-of-the-art TGR Learning Labs. In addition to the flagship campus in Anaheim, he will also oversee two upcoming facilities in Philadelphia and Los Angeles.
Hamalian is a dynamic leader with more than 20 years of experience in education, social innovation, education technology, program expansion and their intersections. Prior to TGR Foundation, he was the CEO of Bright Star Schools and executive director of Valor Academy, a charter school he founded.
An alumnus of Boston College, Hamalian earned a master’s degree in secondary education from Loyola Marymount University and an MBA from UCLA. He serves on several boards providing educational access to youth and is a mayor-appointed commissioner on the Los Angeles City Workforce Development Board.
