EASTERSEALS ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD MEMBER JEROME CORE
Easterseals Southern California, the largest provider of disability services and leader in the effort for full equity, inclusion and access for people with disabilities, welcomes Jerome Core to its board of directors.
Jerome Core is the Head of US and Worldwide DEIA Content at Amazon Studios and Prime Video. In his role, he works to amplify the voices of historically excluded communities across gender, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, and disabilities with the goal of driving transformational change across the business.
In the past year, Jerome led the expansion of inclusive content consultations across all Prime Video domains, including Freevee and Sports Originals. His team worked with over 160 projects across development and production to increase diversity in front of and behind the camera and promote authentic storytelling.
Jerome also oversees Amazon Studios’ industry, pathway and student programs to create opportunities for historically excluded communities in the TV and film industry.
In his free time, he volunteers for Meals on Wheels and is the founder and former Chair of Amazon’s Black Employee Network’s Los Angeles Chapter. Jerome is native to the Los Angeles area, growing up in Compton, CA.
