LEGAL: Kun, Sullivan, & Runge

Thompson Coburn LLP has significantly expanded its Labor & Employment practice in Los Angeles with the addition of five new attorneys: partners Michael S. Kun, Kevin D. Sullivan, and Benjamin T. Runge, and associates Catherine Kang and Emilie Ho. Kun will co-chair the nationwide Labor & Employment practice group and will lead the firm’s Wage & Hour practice, which focuses on representing employers in class, collective and representative actions dealing with pay practices and related disputes. The firm’s Los Angeles office has seen steady growth in recent years, and the new team additions mark a key milestone in expanding its depth and reach in the labor and employment space.

Kun

Michael S. Kun defends employers in high-stakes wage and hour, breach of contract, discrimination, and harassment cases. A recognized authority in wage and hour law, Kun has litigated more than 200 class and collective actions across nearly every state, advising major employers, including numerous Fortune 500 companies. He is a frequent speaker and prolific author, having co-authored 12 books and numerous articles on employment law topics.

Sullivan

Kevin D. Sullivan brings over 15 years of experience representing employers in complex class and collective actions involving misclassification, off-the-clock work, wage statement violations, and other employment claims. His practice also includes counseling employers on compliance with federal and state labor regulations.

Runge

Benjamin T. Runge advocates for employers in complex employment and commercial disputes. His practice includes matters involving retaliation, discrimination, failure to accommodate, and wage and hour claims. In addition, Ben has litigated a wide range of commercial and business disputes.

Rounding out the team are associates Catherine Kang and Emilie Ho, who will assist clients with employment litigation in California, including discrimination, retaliation, harassment and wage-hour claims.
