Bobby Jennings – Vice President, Division Manager
Swinerton is pleased to welcome Bobby Jennings as Vice President, Division Manager for Swinerton Orange County/Los Angeles Commercial Division. Bobby has spent nearly 20 years in the construction industry, the last 15 of which have been with Swinerton. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Colorado State University. Starting as a Project Engineer for Swinerton in San Diego, he has progressed through roles of increased responsibility while adding impressive projects to his resume across a large variety of markets. For the past four years, Bobby has led Swinerton’s Portland office as Vice President, Division Manager. A DBIA Professional and LEED AP, Bobby focuses on building strong internal and external relationships to foster collaboration and deliver successful project experiences for all stakeholders.
Kubota
Ken Kubota – Regional Chief Estimator, Southern California
We are excited to announce the promotion of Ken Kubota to Regional Chief Estimator for Swinerton Southern California. Ken has spent over 20 years in the construction industry, all of which have been at Swinerton. He spent portions of his career working in Swinerton’s Hawaii Division before returning to Southern California 10 years ago. Ken earned his master’s degree in Construction Management from USC and his bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from UCLA. Ken’s unwavering commitment, emphasis on mentoring and coaching others and his credibility and expertise in operations and estimating make him a double threat that will positively impact the talented Swinerton estimating team in Southern California as well as continue to make an impression on our client base.
Omahen
Billy Omahen – Operations Manager
Please join us in congratulating Billy Omahen on his promotion to Operations Manager for Swinerton Orange County/Los Angeles Special Projects Division. Billy has spent 15 years in the construction industry, the last seven of which have been with Swinerton. He has helped lead numerous projects in various markets, including education, entertainment, hospitality, industrial, office, public/civic, residential, retail, and transportation. Prior to his new role, Billy was a Senior Superintendent and Project Executive always leading with a “builderfirst” approach, consistently prioritizing the quality and integrity of the construction process. His construction knowledge and expertise will bring invaluable impact to project procurement, successful completion of projects with an emphasis on satisfying our clients.
Alkhoury
Mike Alkhoury – Project Executive
Swinerton is delighted to announce the promotion of Mike Alkhoury to Project Executive for Swinerton Orange County/Los Angeles. Mike has spent 12 years in the construction industry, the last seven of which have
been at Swinerton. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering Management from California State University, Long Beach. Mike previously served as Project Manager and Senior Project Manager in a wide range of markets, including healthcare and parking structures. He has managed healthcare projects both in Hawaii and Southern California for Swinerton, including complex seismic retrofits, acute-care expansions, and groundup medical office buildings. Mike will bring a wealth of knowledge and emphasis on fundamentals to his teams and clients in his new role.
Getting
Daniel Getting – Regional Director of Pre-construction and Estimating, Southern California
We are thrilled to announce Daniel Getting as Swinerton’s new Regional Director of Pre-construction and Estimating for Southern California. Daniel has spent 30 years in the construction industry, 15+ of which have been with Swinerton. He earned his Architectural Drafting and Estimating Technologies degree from Dunwoody College in Minneapolis. Daniel is a DBIA Professional and has consistently supported Swinerton’s design build projects in partnership with key design partners in the industry. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional and former USGBC LA Chapter Board member. His leadership and mantra of “continuous quality improvement” will help drive the Southern California region’s talented pre-construction, estimating and design management teams to greater heights.
Bendl
Swinerton is proud to recognize the promotion of Veronika Bendl to Director of Business Development for Swinerton Southern California. In Veronika’s 14-year tenure at Swinerton, she has organically built professional relationships with key industry partners, while keeping her pulse on new market trends and various national clients responsible for awarding new construction contracts. Prior to her new role, Veronika served as the Business Development Manager for Swinerton Orange County and Los Angeles Special Projects Division where she helped successfully secure countless project leads from new and repeat clients as a direct result of her business and market strategies and trusted relationships. She brings these same strategies to help bolster sales for all markets in Southern California along with a talented team behind her.
