Commercial Development Resources (CDR) has appointed 20-year operations veteran Brendan Farrell as Chief Operating Officer as the firm enters its next phase of growth.
CDR is a national land development services platform, PE-licensed in 25 states and trusted by brands including Habit Burger, AutoNation, Legoland, The Irvine Company and many of Southern California’s leading corporate real estate teams, developers and architects.
Farrell joins CDR from AO, an ENR Top-50 architecture firm, where he served as Vice President of Operations during a period of sustained expansion. He previously held senior leadership roles at SAA Interiors + Architecture and Imagination International, building and scaling multi-office international teams and improving operational performance across complex, project-based organizations.
As COO, Farrell oversees firmwide operations across civil engineering, dry utilities, landscape architecture, and planning and permitting, with a mandate to advance governance, enhance service delivery, and maintain disciplined margin performance as CDR scales into new territories and disciplines. He partners closely with Founder and CEO Aaron Albertson in a Visionary/Integrator leadership model.
CDR continues to leverage its deep expertise in retail, fast casual, automotive, and QSR while expanding its portfolio in industrial, critical power and data center infrastructure, and broader national markets.
