Santa Monica-based Saint John’s Health Center Foundation has appointed three new Trustees to its board, enhancing the leadership and vision guiding the organization’s philanthropic mission. Their collective expertise and distinguished professional backgrounds will help advance the Foundation’s support of world-class patient care, pioneering medical research and initiatives that strengthen the health and well-being of communities across Southern California.
Irwin Gold is chairman of the board and co-chairman of global investment bank Houlihan Lokey Inc. He co-founded the firm’s Financial Restructuring Group and led it for 25 years, helping build one of the world’s premier restructuring practices. A recognized leader in corporate debt restructuring, capital markets and financial advisory services, he has advised on landmark engagements involving Delta Air Lines, Charter Communications and MGM. Irwin became executive chairman of Houlihan Lokey in 2013 and helped lead the firm’s 2015 initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange. He earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in economics, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from Duke University. He and his wife, Maryann, reside in Pacific Palisades
Missy Mingst Kolsky is a Los Angeles native whose career includes roles in development, communications and public service with the Office of the Mayor of Los Angeles. She is actively engaged in civic and nonprofit leadership and currently serves on the board of Marlborough School. Previously, she served on the board of St. Matthew’s Parish School, where she led advancement efforts for six years. Her community involvement also includes support for the Natural History Museums of Los Angeles County, Las Madrinas and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. A graduate of USC, Missy and her husband, Steve, live in Pacific Palisades and have three children, all born at Saint John’s.
Eun Joo “EJ” Milken is managing director of EGM Investments and is a philanthropist and community leader with a longstanding commitment to education and civic engagement. She serves on the USC Marshall School of Business board of councilors, the board of governors of ‘Iolani School, the board of the DEA Educational Foundation and the Hawai’i Advisory Board of Vision to Learn. Previously, she co-founded the Milken Institute Young Leaders Circle and served as co-director of the Milken Scholars Program. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Mount Saint Mary’s University and an MBA from USC.
