BANC OF CALIFORNIA HIRES FOR GROWTH IN PAYMENTS AND SMALL BUSINESS LENDING

Banc of California has welcomed two bankers to support its growing commercial card and small business lending teams in Los Angeles.

Chris Wallace has joined the Payments leadership team as Senior Vice President of Commercial Card Sales and Partnerships, and Jeff Hildebrandt has joined as Vice President and Business Development Officer for National Small Business Lending. Both bankers are focused on serving businesses in the Los Angeles market.

Mr. Wallace is responsible for growing and managing the bank’s commercial card offering within its Payments business. He has more than 25 years of experience helping businesses manage how they make and receive payments so they can preserve liquidity, minimize fraud risk, enhance financial controls and maximize revenue through rebate programs.

Through the bank’s commercial card platform, Mr. Wallace will help businesses streamline payables, gain greater visibility into working capital and evaluate payment strategies that align with their broader business goals.

Most recently, Mr. Wallace served as head of Commercial Card Sales at Comerica Bank, and he held prior leadership roles at Visa, PNC Bank and BBVA USA Bank.

Jeff Hildebrandt

Mr. Hildebrandt is responsible for originating and structuring Small Business Administration (SBA) 7(a) and 504 loans, with an emphasis on serving small businesses in the Los Angeles area. With more than 20 years of experience in SBA financing, he is focused on helping clients navigate the SBA lending process, structure financing around their business objectives, and access capital that can support expansion, ownership transitions and long-term stability. This includes financing options for owner-occupied real estate, business acquisitions, partner buyouts and growth capital.

Before joining Banc of California, Mr. Hildebrandt served as Vice President of SBA Commercial Lending at Live Oak Bank. He is also a state-approved SBA finance instructor and a licensed California commercial real estate agent.
