Nicole Howell is a highly regarded counsel in Skadden’s Los Angeles Corporate Group. She advises strategic and financial buyers and sellers in connection with domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions and the formation of joint ventures and strategic partnerships. Her practice also includes corporate governance, private equity and securities law matters. Howell has deep experience in a wide range of transaction types and generally is industry agnostic, although most recently she has handled complex matters in the food and beverage and entertainment sectors.
Among her many highlights has been her work for European fresh produce company Total Produce in its combination with Dole Food Company and the concurrent IPO of the combined company on the NYSE under the iconic Dole brand. The first-of-its-kind transaction was the largest fruits and vegetables deal in history, creating a global, vertically integrated company with estimated combined 2020 revenue of approximately $9.7 billion.
