A seasoned practitioner and co-chair of MTO’s Labor and Employment Practice Group, Katherine Forster has litigated over 100 class, collective and representative actions. She has extensive experience helping companies navigate highly sensitive private plaintiff and government agency claims for sexual harassment and abuse, systemic discrimination, whistleblower retaliation and pay equity.
Forster represented BlackBerry and its CEO in a sexual harassment, gender discrimination, retaliation and pay equity lawsuit filed by a former C-level executive. In November 2024, Forster secured dismissal with prejudice of the harassment and pay equity claims at the pleading stage, including all claims against BlackBerry’s CEO. In March 2026, she obtained summary judgment on claims for gender discrimination, negligent retention and retaliation during employment.
