Selena Galaviz concentrates her practice on all aspects of complex civil litigation, including environmental litigation, complex business disputes and class actions. Galaviz’s current clients include Southern California Edison, the Navajo Nation, an aerospace manufacturer and a pharmaceutical company, to name a few.
Galaviz is a key member of the team representing Southern California Edison and Edison International in litigation arising out of the 2017 Thomas Fire, the 2018 Woolsey Fire, and the and the 2018 Montecito mudslides. She works on dispositive motions, preparing and responding to discovery, and discovery disputes. Galaviz has also evaluated plaintiffs’ claims and worked with the client to make settlement recommendations and resolve numerous cases through alternative dispute resolution. Galaviz is also advising an aerospace manufacturer in a dispute involving unfair competition and misappropriation of trade secrets claims, and a pharmaceutical company in a putative class action suit alleging false advertising claims.
