Joshua Lee started his career at EY and eventually helped lead its west coast practice in tax credits during his tenure there. After leaving EY, he helped pioneer a venture model known as “venture building” (now more popularly known as “venture studio”), and founded Two Coins Group, which invested in more than 23 seed stage start-up, with nine exits. He still serves as a venture scout for many venture capital groups in Silicon Beach. Lee took on several board positions and began looking into ways to help many of the companies he helped start. This led to the forming of Ardius.
Lee started, built and orchestrated an acquisition by Gusto in just 18 months. Because of the timing, speed and nature of this venture, Lee owned the majority of the company, but found a way to give almost half of the “exit” to his team / early note-holders.
