Shawn M. Caracoza is a licensed clinical social worker and has years of experience working directly, understanding the challenges clinicians and therapists alike go through in the behavioral and mental health field. Not only are they combating stigma and people’s vices and trauma, but they’re also faced with funding cuts and administrative difficulties. Yet, they make an impact every day in underserved communities.
Today, Caracoza is the president and chief operations officer of Pacific Clinics, California’s leading community-based behavioral health provider. He has learned the ins and outs of the industry and has a forward-thinking mindset to advance and be innovative. Through intentional partnerships and relationships, Caracoza is pushing community-based behavioral health into the 20th century.
