In less than two years, Irell & Manella LLP partner and litigator Jason Sheasby took more than 10 highly complex, high-stakes cases to trial, winning all of them. He was named American Lawyer’s Litigator of the Year (along with Irell partner Lisa Glasser) for this work.
In March 2025, as co-lead counsel, Sheasby secured a trial victory for memory module company Netlist in a suit against Samsung, involving patents relating to computer memory technology. The jury returned its verdict in less than two hours, agreeing that Samsung breached an agreement to supply crucial NAND and DRAM memory products in exchange for a license to Netlist memory patents. The win confirmed that Netlist properly terminated the license.
