Heather Richardson is a litigation partner in Gibson Dunn’s Los Angeles office. Her practice focuses on health care, the gig economy, and class action matters in state and federal courts around the country. Last year, Dunn was one of the primary lawyers trying the Uber misclassification case brought by the Massachusetts Attorney General, which resolved in a settlement before closing arguments.
Among several successful representative matters, Dunn notably secured a $37.4 million jury verdict against a group of surgery centers found liable for fraud, interference with contract and unjust enrichment. This year, she has four trials scheduled for United Healthcare on a variety of issues, ranging from a shareholder dispute involving a medical group, to a bad faith trial relating to bariatric surgery.
