While much of Stacey Wang’s litigation and arbitration work is completely confidential, she does stand at the forefront of two hot-button issues related to class actions and mass arbitration that can be discussed here.
Wang is a commercial litigation partner in the Los Angeles office and one of the leaders on Holland & Knight’s national team defending colleges and universities against class action lawsuits coming out of the pandemic in which students seek tuition refunds from the schools’ transition to distance learning. Her team has secured judicial orders that are the first in the country on these issues, in favor of the universities, which other schools are now using to defend themselves in tuition reimbursement class actions.
